About Director

Dr. T. P. Singh, the Director has a long standing experience of 32 years, he was at Thaper University Patiala for about two decades where he occupied position of Professor Mechanical Engineering, Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Resource Planning and Generation Land Centre, Director CIT-TDB- TNET. Dr. Singh also worked with manufacturing industry, M/s Purolator's India Ltd and M/s Escorts AMD for about 10 years before shifting to teaching. He is an active researcher having supervised a large number of Ph.D. and M.E. thesis, contributed research papers and articles to International and national journals and conferences and carried out various sponsored R&D and consultancy projects.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology being the flagship institute of the prestigious Symbiosis International Deemed University has set high standards for itself. The Institute endeavors to provide quality education in line with the requirements of today's competitive industry and rapid developments in technology. The Institute provides an environment conducive for harnessing the potential of faculty and students through systematic and effective learning both within and outside the classrooms. The roadmap developed for the institute envisions it to acquire the status of a prestigious national Institute of Technology in a short span of time. Among the initiatives taken to make SIT one of the most sought after institutes of technical education in the country are recruitment of highly qualified and experienced faculty, their continual professional growth through organizing and attending conferences and publications of research papers; regular revision of curriculum in line with fast changing need of industry; employing innovative methods of teaching, providing ample opportunities for learning outside the classroom through projects, techfests and cultural programs.
